I graduated from George Mason University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Marketing. After realizing I was not cut out for the business world, I took a year off then went back to George Mason University and graduated in 2010 with a Masters in Education, focusing on Curriculum and Instruction.
After graduating, I began working in Fairfax County Public Schools, teaching 3rd grade. I got married in 2013 to my wonderful husband and we moved to Maryland. I taught 3rd and 5th grade in Prince George's County until 2022, when we moved to North Carolina. I am currently teaching 5th grade in Wake County Public Schools.
